Crime Warning Communication

Reported Offense:
At 3:36 pm this afternoon, a female student reported an incident that occurred at 4:20 am on this date (3/20/13). The incident occurred on the 3rd floor of Tucker Residence Hall. An unidentified person (unknown race, unknown sex) entered the unlocked and open door of her room, took a sip of water and left. There was no communication, threats or otherwise, and no items were taken. No one was injured during the incident, and there was no physical contact between the suspect and victim.

The suspect description is a person of unknown race and sex wearing a gray hoodie, possibly taller than 5 foot 6 inches.

Residents should abide by the following safety tips:
-Always lock your room when unoccupied or a roommate is left sleeping alone.
-Never let anyone piggy-back into residence halls.
-Always carry your campus ID and keys on you.
-Call Campus Police at 919-515-3000 immediately regarding suspicious or criminal activity.
